RODA Stakeholder Conference
The conference presented the RODA information system developed during 2012–2014 and its use in preserving and disseminating social data.
About the event
The Romanian Social Data Archive held the event on 28 November 2014 at the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work of the University of Bucharest.
The conference presented the results of the 2012–2014 project 'Integrated information system for identifying, archiving and disseminating databases and indicators from social research'.
The project modernised RODA's information system for compatibility and interoperability with CESSDA — the Council of European Social Science Data Archives. It was funded by the Ministry of National Education through the Sectoral Plan, contract no. 5S/2012, with a value of RON 2,500,000.
The team demonstrated how the system could preserve social databases nationally and disseminate them in national and international contexts. The event also opened a discussion about research opportunities for the social-science community through international collaboration under Horizon 2020.

Directions
By car: the campus car-park entrance is on Nicolae Paulescu Street, uphill towards the Military Academy from Eroilor. The route is marked in red on the map. Beyond the access barrier, the route continues straight ahead, keeping the Cotroceni wall on the right, past the Faculty of Psychology, to the final building — the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work.
By public transport: from the Eroilor stop opposite the University Hospital, towards the Military Academy, the original directions recommended any bus except 122 and 126 for two stops to 'Șoseaua Cotroceni'. The blue route then descends towards Nicolae Paulescu Street and joins the red route.
The address, routes and contact details are retained as historical information about the 2014 event.
